The refugee crisis persists as the world’s second-largest, with 6.8 million refugees residing outside Sayria’s borders. Lebanon, a neighboring country, has been disproportionately impacted, facing economic, health, and political crises. Conditions for a safe return to home country are absent, yet there is growing pressure on refugees to go back. Harmful practices, like pushbacks and inadequate protection, are increasing. Only 1.7% of displaced refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt express an intention to return within the next year.
