Living on the Edge: Displaced Women Navigating Uncertainty in Lebanon

This study captures the voices of displaced women in Lebanon as they weigh survival against the prospect of return. It reveals how daily struggles with housing, work, safety, and education shape decisions and how displacement has transformed women’s roles and agency.

Far from abstract policy debates, return is shown as a deeply personal calculation, tied to dignity, security, and the future of their children. By centring women’s perspectives, the report challenges assumptions and reframes what “durable solutions” must mean.
