Lebanon | Evolving Realities: Refugee Living Conditions, Needs, and Future Perspectives (2025)

This B&Z’s comparative report brings together the results of all three rounds of our 2025 longitudinal research.

The comparison is clear: Pressure in Lebanon does not lead to a return.

Refugees’ decisions are shaped almost entirely by conditions in their areas of origin: insecurity, militia control, economic collapse, and destroyed housing.

Across the 3 rounds:

  • Aid access collapsed 89% → 9%
  • Education dropped 33% → 27%
  • Healthcare access deteriorated
  • Most homes in areas of origin remained destroyed

Return intentions increased only when stability improved in Lebanon.
