Job Purpose : The Project Manager will lead the field-level implementation of an integrated livelihoods and peacebuilding project in Tripoli. The primary objective is to manage the end-to-end delivery of vocational training for 90 women and specialized business support for 10 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). Recognizing the fragile context of Tripoli, the Manager will ensure that all economic interventions serve as a platform for social cohesion. This includes leading dialogue sessions and peacebuilding initiatives aimed at reducing social tensions and fostering inclusive community development. The Manager will supervise Field Facilitators and act as the central liaison between senior management, technical consultants, and the community to ensure that market linkages and business growth contribute to long-term stability and sustainable peace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management and coordination of vocational/soft skills training for 90 womenand business support for 10 MSEs.
- Oversee the identification and selection process for women based on vulnerability and interest, ensuring assignment to relevant training tracks.
- Manage the technical eligibility assessment and scoring matrix to select 10 MSEs for business and financial management support.
- Coordinate with training institutes and external consultants to finalize schedules, curricula, and theoretical/practical session requirements
- Lead the project’s peacebuilding framework by designing and facilitating structured dialogue sessions with women-led groups, focusing on identifying shared economic interests to alleviate community-level social tensions.
- Provide technical mentorship to participants in developing community-led peacebuilding initiatives, ensuring these projects are linked to their new vocational skills or business ventures.
- Supervise the distribution of training kitsand the administration of transportation stipends based on the established attendance
- Oversee the development of Business Development Plansand feasibility studies to ensure enterprise needs align with grant provision.
- Ensure all project data is shared with the advocacy team to inform final reporting and policy papers.
KPIs:
- Training & MSE Targets:90 women and 10 MSEs successfully reached with training, coaching, and grant support within the agreed timeframe.
- Financial Integrity:Project expenditures align with the budget forecast, and all cash transfers (grants/stipends) are backed by complete supporting documentation.
- Data Quality:All assessment and follow-up data are verified by the MEAL team as accurate and compliant with project requirements.
- Peacebuilding Engagement:100% of planned dialogue sessions for women-led groups successfully facilitated.
- Market Linkage:100% of trained women referred to potential job opportunities or job fairs, with follow-up data collected 2 months post-training.
- Operational Excellence: Training kits and stipends distributed to all eligible participants according to the attendance and selection criteria.
People Management :

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Project Management, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in women’s empowerment, livelihoods, or cooperative development projects.
- Experience in training and capacity-building initiatives.
- Proven experience working with local communities in Lebanon, especially Tripoli
- Familiarity with GBV prevention, protection, and safeguarding practices.
- Fluency in Arabic and English; knowledge of French is an asset.
