Solidarity for Lebanon: Urgent Response to Displacement and Crisis

The recent escalation in hostilities has had a devastating impact on South Lebanon and the Bekaa region, It has displaced over 1000,000 people, forcing families to flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs.

In response, Basmeh & Zeitooneh (B&Z) is mobilizing to provide urgent relief for displaced families. We are focusing on equipping shelters, providing food, hygiene kits, and essential non-food items. Our emergency response team is working around the clock to assess the situation, and while areas remain unclear, we are preparing to intervene wherever the need is greatest all over Lebanon.

With your support, we can deliver life-saving assistance to those most affected by this crisis. Since 2021, B&Z has reached over 100,000 internally displaced persons, refugees, and vulnerable host communities. Together, we can ease the suffering of those most in need.

Basmeh & Zeitooneh encourages online donations, however small the amount.

Your online donations are important because:

1. We need additional support to sustain our unfunded projects
2. We use such donations to support the most vulnerable families that lack a breadwinner by providing them with food, medical coverage and rent assistance.

While all donations are valuable to the organization, we particularly encourage supporters to make regular small donations rather than a one-off donation, in order to increase sustainability.
