Evolving Return Intentions Among Syrian Refugees in Lebanon – Round 2 Findings

This longitudinal study tracked the evolving attitudes of 150 Syrian refugees toward return over the course of one year, across three Lebanese regions: Beqaa Valley, Beirut (Nabaa), and Tripoli, selected for their demographic diversity and proximity to shifting geopolitical tensions. Using a panel approach, 50 participants were followed in each region to assess how personal and structural factors shaped return perceptions over time.

This briefing reflects findings from the second round of data collection conducted in April–May 2025. A third and final round is scheduled for September–October 2025.
